Nauk

installation and painting

with Robert Young and Cody Prusky

The project Nauk consists of both a video and a painting. The video documents the manipulation of the painting by hunters in the arctic where the painting was created using found materials from seas lifts and Martha Stewart paint samples.

 

The artwork considers alternative mark making and chance operations in the language of surface decoration.

Created while living in the hamlet of Arviat, Nunavut.
