MICHAEL STECKY

Michael Stecky is a Toronto based artist with a multifaceted practice.  He earned a BA in Fine Arts from Concordia University in Montreal and has received awards from the Manitoba Arts Council, the Ontario Arts Council and the Canada Council for the Arts.

 

Stecky’s work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions, including, Photospiel, Karl Oskar Gallery, Berlin (2019), Nuit Rose, Artscape Youngplace, Toronto (2019), the Winnipeg art Gallery, Supernovas, as well as solo exhibitions at Plug In ICA, Winnipeg and Wilde Gallery, Berlin.

 

His videos have been broadcast on the CBC, Spanish Public Television, Metropolis and at festivals in Germany, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, Japan, China and Portugal. Stecky’s work has been shown through Wilde gallery at art fairs in Toronto, Paris, Basel, Miami, Chicago and New York.

 

His work is held in numerous private and corporate collections in Canada and Europe.
